Transocean for Sumed Oil Tanks

Sumed or Arab Petroleum Pipes company is a joint venture of Egyptian General Petroleum corp and other companies such as Saudi Aramco and Qatar Petroleum. Sumed’s main activity is in the storage and transportation of oil from its terminal in Suez to the terminal in Port Said.

The Suez terminal in Soukhna is currently being expanded with the new construction of 6 floating tanks. Each tank has a capacity of 200.000 cubic meters which makes them the largest tanks in Egypt.

Petrojet and Enppi are both Egyptian Contractors specialized in providing EPC services basically to the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical and Power Industries. Both companies are internationally orientated and carry out projects through whole middle-east region.

Transocean Coatings has been selected for protecting the tanks due to its excellent track record of earlier projects done for Sumed.

One of the key points in achieving a good result, is the full time presence of technical supervision from Transocean Coatings.
